The Rhineland-Palatinate Welcome Centers in the Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHK) are a new service for international workers and Rhineland-Palatinate companies that wish to hire international workers.
This joint initiative of the Chambers of Industry and Commerce and the Rhineland-Palatinate state government aims to support international workers who have accepted employment in Rhineland-Palatinate or would like to work here, with their new start.
Welcome Center staff at all IHK locations in the state (Coblenz, Ludwigshafen, Mainz and Trier) are ready to offer assistance in areas including recognition of professional qualifications, questions about finding a place to live, and being joined by family.
Companies that wish to hire multiple international workers or further develop their corporate integration culture may turn to the Welcome Centers for assistance.
At welcome-center.rlp.de you will find, in addition to the contact information for the various Welcome Centers, a summary of key information that will help you find your bearings during your first months here in the state. You find answers to questions about travel and work permits, professional qualifications, as well as an overview of qualities seen as “typically German” and cultural differences. Because there is already much of value in the web on these topics, we include links to other excellent official websites, for example that of the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees. We have tried to ensure that all linked pages are available at least in English.
Take advantage of the Welcome Centers to get all the information you need! Make a fresh start in the beautiful and dynamic Rhineland-Palatinate in southwest Germany.
You are very welcome here!
